The name Pola is an abbreviation of a Bemba (Zambian tribe and language) word – Ku’Pola. Ku’Pola is a verb, which directly translated means to heal or to recover. It is the action of healing an active motion towards restoring, recovering, and sometimes reconstructing. This is the aim of Pola Practice is to create space(s) that support individuals to do the work of healing.
As part of this aim we provide Individual Talk-based Therapy, Clinical Supervision, Therapeutic Groups and Workshops, Cultural Debriefing and Supervision, and organisational Consultation.
